Gary MacDougall, from Creations Landarch International, created a fusion of East and West, with landscaping, at the resort. Formal European style hedging frames the gardens and within the hedge ‘framing’ are random tropical plantings in sunset colors. This creates an everlasting sunset which compliments the beautiful sunsets each evening, that the resort is blessed with. Gary designed lighting in an Asian style and approximately 300 lights made of granite, perspex & metal were handcrafted for the internal areas of the project. The light colored granite blends in with the resort’s granite stone walls & steps, which were also designed by Gary. Hundreds of up lights were used for individual palms and feature trees. Wall lights were used extensively for access-ways.

The entry walls and fountains, designed by Gary maintain the same theme of East meets West. The entry walls and fountains are formal but are surrounded by tropical palms and tropical plantings. European style random sandstone has been used on the walls and they have formal black granite tops. Thousands of 150 x 150 squares of granite were used on both sides of the entry walls for the cascading effect. Each carved granite bowl has a fan type fountain representing a traditional Vietnamese symbol. At night the ponds and walls are lit up with Lumascape type underwater lights. Each bowl is lit up at night with 3 LED lights with triple bulbs in each one. The top of the walls has Tristar LEDs to shine on water coming out before cascading. The bottom of the walls have powerful up lights similar to Lumascape ‘Monster’. Also the ponds have in built wall lights for further effect. Meanwhile, at the back of the walls and cascades each tropical palm has up lights to further enhance the nightscape.
